Canberra Spring Festival Rally 2008
last update 18th Nov 2008

The Canberra Caravan Club organised and hosted a caravan rally in Canberra from Wednesday, 1st October 2008 to Wednesday, 8th October 2008, inclusive.

The rally coincided with Floriade, Canberra's spring time, premier, week-long attraction.

Caravaners came from near and far and joined us for some fun in our Nation's capital.   The rally was held at Exhibition Park in Canberra (just minutes from the CBD). The Official Opening was performed by Mick Gentleman
preceded with entertainment by the City of Queanbeyan Pipe Band. We enjoyed a Motorcade Tour of Canberra, had a Red Faces Night, a display of vintage cars on site, a BBQ Breakfast. We had delicious Catered Dinner and there was plenty of free time for site seeing.

In fact, one week was not long enough if one wanted to fit in visits to Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the National Museum, Embassies, Screensound Australia, the National Art Gallery, Canberra’s spring festival, Floriade and LOTS more.

To those who came, we hope you enjoyed your stay and that we made you most welcome

Here are a few photos - more to come we are sure!
